Transfer Student Scholarships
The Southern Illinois University Academic Scholarship Office awards scholarships to outstanding students who demonstrate the potential for superior academic performance. Transfer applicants are considered for some scholarships based upon qualifying documentation that is submitted at the time of applying for admission and the SIU General Scholarship Application. To ensure maximum consideration, students should be knowledgeable of the specific requirements and deadlines associated with all of the scholarships that are awarded.
The awarding process begins in November for the Dean's Transfer Scholarship, and continues until all funds have been exhausted. Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships are awarded after April 1. Students must be admitted, meet the minimum GPA requirements, and submit an SIU General Scholarship Application to receive consideration.
If you accept an academic scholarship offer, you will need to respond within fifteen days of the date of the award offer. If you miss the deadline, the offer will be withdrawn and will be made to another applicant. You may request an extension until May 1, but you must make the request in writing within fifteen days.
